J A Henckels Knives Four Star Series 4" Paring Knife 31070 103 - The Henckels Four Star line is made in Solingen, Germany, and are forged, not stamped. Blade density is improved using the FRIODUR ice-hardening process, which provides a sharper initial edge for easier maintenance over time. Larger knives are crafted using Henckels' exclusive Sinternal Component Technology, which fuses blade, bolster and tang into a single, seamless piece for precision, easy handling, and balance. Part of the Four Star series, this knife is made of high-carbon stainless steel and precision-honed, with a laser-controlled edge, a balanced super-bolster, and a tang that extends to the back of the polypropylene handle, which is permanently bonded for seamless accuracy. It's Henckles!
The name speaks for itself; world-class product. Ordered, shipped, and received without difficulty; great service from Amazon and superb product from Henckles.
Are they worth the money?
In recient years I have worked on aquiring quite a selection of Henckle knives. I started with a set of cheep international series Henckle knives, but a some point needed a "step up". I purchased a single four star knife, used it for a week, and have been hooked ever since. I have used most "as seen on TV" brands... well I am still hooked on four star. The only competition they have with me is their own Pro S series. Eargonomic handles, easy to maintain, and a great design for use in the kitchen.
Henckel paring knife
This is an excellent knife for general cutting and slicing. It's length is just the right size for easy handling and safety.
Stays sharp longer than my other premium knives.
Cuts great! 
I have several sizes of these knives. This one, the smallest one, is the one I use most. Thus I had to get a new one after 2-3 years. No complaints; the cutting capability far exceeds cheap knives from K-mart/Walmart type stores. You pay a bit more, but the quality is well worth the difference.
Replacment better than original
I bought this knife to replace a 3" paring that inexplicably broke. The blade just snapped in half after slipping off the counter into the sink. I prefer the 4" size, and had no hesitation to replace Henckels with Henckels.
