J.A. Henckels Twin Four Star 10-Inch High Carbon Stainless-Steel Chef's Knife customer reviews:
|
These are the best knives! After showing serious interest in pursuing a career in the Culinary/Hotel field, my dad bought me my first 10" Henckel knife as part of a set in 1987. I dropped out after 2 months but I still had my knives. And I promised my Dad I would make good use of them considering how much he had paid for them.
I have been a loyal fan ever since. Just last week the handle gave out on me and I have returned to purchase a new one.
I got A LOT of use out of it and I was impressed with how long it lasted considering the abuse I put it through. NINETEEN years of service was worth every penny.
Henckels Four Star 10-Inch High Carbon Stainless-Steel Chef's Knife Great Product - well worth the cost.
Perfect knife This is one fine knife.Prior to this my favorite knife was a Gerber Balance plus 10 inch chefs knife I bought over 20 years ago. This is a much better knife. The balance and grip feel is much more natural.
Wow... couldn't be happier I love the 4 star collection, and this is the best knife in the bunch. It doubles as a carving knife because of it's size... and it's very very stable to work with. Good deal for sure... if you are serious about cooking.
Less steel than there used to be. I bought this knife recently to go along with the 8 inch version which I purchased 18 years ago and have been happily and extensively using since.
When the new 10" version arrived I was disappointed to see that it felt flimsy for its size, weighing approximately the same as the 8" (233 vs. 229 grams). The spine on the old knife is nearly twice as thick near the handle, making it feel quite solid for tasks like smashing garlic. When doing this with the new 10" knife, the blade gives a bit, feeling almost as if it might break. I find myself not using this new knife.
