Weber 51020 Smokey Joe Platinum Charcoal Grill customer reviews:

Still a few new ones on eBay This is a great portable grill for the size. The 14" one would be fine for 1-2 people, but not more. This grill can handle more charcoal and has enough room to allow for 2 heat zones.
The hardest part is finding one! I finally found one on eBay but, you better hurry!
great tailgate cooker. I use this for tailgating primarily. It is great because it's cooking size much bigger than it's counterparts. It holds temps well and cooks evenly like all webers do.
It's a bit bigger than the smaller smokey joe, but does a nicer job because of it's size.
I use it often and will continue to do so. Too bad it is being discontinued.
Smokey Joe Platinum The best portable grill around. Small enough for good portability, Big enough to grill for several tailgaters (Go Chiefs). Solid construction. Finish has lasted through several seasons with no signs of wear. Suggestion: Drill a few 1" holes in the bottom and it will breathe a little better.
If You Can Have Just One, This Is It. This ia a fantastic grill/bbq. It is very versatile. Not to big or small. It is portable yet big enough to be your main backyard grill. The catch is, you can only find it at Ace Hardware.
So Glad I Snagged One Before It Was Discontinued! I can't add too much to all the praise already sung by the reviewers here, so I'll mainly 'second the motion' that this is a super portable grill (for the park, the beach, camping trip, friend's house, etc.). I just love how many little tricks the sharp folks at Weber thought of and incorporated into this little chestnut. The carrying handle - just to mention one feature - doubles as both a 'slide aside' lid holder (very convenient) and also, when in the vertical position, snaps into grooves in the kettle lid handle to create a snug fit, enabling transport w/o worrying about the mess & danger of spilling ash. What a honey!
Two negatives: 1) An unfortunate loss to the charcoal grilling community that production of this grill (more desirable/advantageous than the smaller Smokey Joe Gold) has been cancelled. And 2) The one weird thing was that I bought Weber's 18.5" hinged grate (since it didn't come standard), and, to my great surprise, it didn't fit!! It should've, but was a tad too small and therefore could not be supported by the dimensions of my kettle. I held it up next to the grate that came w/the grill and sure enough, it wasn't quite as big around. Strange (?) Oh well, small price to pay overall.
Best wishes finding one of these babies. You probably still can if you want to badly enough.
