I loved the price on this vacuum when I bought it right after my baby was born. It picked things up well but over heated constantly. I could never get through the whole house without having to take a break. The spring on the bottom stretched out so far it no longer would stay attached and I had to replace it. When we move into our new house it can't handle the new carpet fibers and must be emptied half way through cleaning at least once. Now I have been in our new house a year and owned the vacuum just short of 2 and it won't pick up anything. I have had to take it apart several times to unclog the right angle where the hose attaches. Overall if you have no kids and no pets I maybe would consider this vacuum. But for me it wasn't worth it.

This is junk Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5
I purchased this from Overstock.com. I am sending it back this week. I have a long haired cat and a dog. All this vacuum did was ball up the hair and push it around. It picked up some things, but what's the point of a vacuum that doesn't suck up everything?

Floor looked a lot better BEFORE I vacuumed Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5
I think this would be a great vacuum for a small, fully-carpeted apartment occupied by a short-haired or bald resident with no pets. If that's not you, consider investing in a beefier, much better quality vacuum (like I'm shopping for now!). While the 12-amp suction is powerful, if you do have pets, or longer hair, expect to stop to empty the bagless dust cup frequently during vacuuming: while vacuuming my small, 12'x 8' family room, I typically empty the dust cup twice, just for that room. Suction fizzles as soon as the vac picks up the first tumbleweed of cat hair. Grr. And most annoying of all, vacumming bare floors is a disaster with this machine: I've watched it, over and over, actually blow dust balls and debris out the back of the machine while you're furiously trying to corner and catch them with the front. It's fruitless to vacuum bare floors without using the hose, extensions, and dual-purpose attachment (which, by the way, doesn't want to stay on the end of the hose and requires repeated futzing to keep it on), and even when you do use the hose, you still get to watch dust bunnies shooting out the back of the machine. Bare floors look worse, and have more dust bunnies, than before you vacuumed. Indeed, this machine tips over VERY easily while you're vacuuming with the hose and extension attachments, contrary to the marketing blurb; and when it does tip over, heaven forbid, it coughs out a great cloud of whatever you've already vacuumed up. Moreover, the extension hoses cannot reach anything higher than 5.5 feet off the floor (so no drapes, top of fridge, cobwebs on crown molding, etc., unless you put the vac atop a chair, table, or stepstool). The dual-purpose attachment is an ergonomic nightmare: the only angle at which you can effectively use this attachment on a bare floor requires you to either be two feet tall, or to vacuum the entire room bent over or squatting. Vacuuming should not require physical therapy afterwards, in my opinion. This vac is highly irritating and impractical for all but dorm rooms, really.

I have had my eureka for about 4 years. After about 1 year the hose was clogged and was able to unclog it by sticking a pole up the hose to clean it out. It got clogged again and the only solution was to cut the hose and retape it. It got clogged a few times after that. I now have the hose taped to the vaccum where i cut it. Seems to be working ok now but it should of not gotten clogged in the first place. I would not recomment this. The hepa filter is also expensive.

Nice but doesn't last long Average rating of 4/5Average rating of 4/5Average rating of 4/5Average rating of 4/5Average rating of 4/5
My mother - in -law bought this vaccum for me . It lasted six years. It's a good vaccum the olny problemes I have had are the hoses clogging. When they do it's time consuming to unclog them . The hose thats attached to the extension attaches to that bracket broke and now the hose won't stay connected to it. I wouldn't buy another one the hepa filters are about 22.00 but only have to replaced twice a year.
