Bissell 1693 Power Steamer Description
With the Power Steamer upright deep cleaner, Bissell slims down the usual steam-cleaner bulk and adds onboard tools for above-floor cleaning. Made for use with hot tap water, the unit features a tank-in-tank design. The single tank casing, fitted with an internal water receptacle, holds both dirty and clean water at once. As the clean water empties from the receptacle, the machine sucks up dirty water into the outer tank. The tank features a carrying handle that locks it into place and a built-in washable lint filter. On average, a single tank will clean a 10-by-12-foot room. The cleaner's floor nozzle features a 12-inch cleaning path and automatically self-adjusts for changes in carpet height. The rotating DirtLifter brush agitates dirt out of floors and gently grooms carpet. A selection dial lets you switch from floor cleaning to tool use or pretreatment, and a transparent front panel shows the solution as it is sucked out of the carpet. In spite of its lean profile, the cleaner comes with several welcome details, including automatic full-tank shutoff, quick-release power-cord hooks, durable wheels, an ergonomic handle, and a fingertip solution trigger. The onboard cleaning tool has its own trigger, a tough stain brush, and a long-reaching flexible hose. REVIEW UPDATE I found this cleaner did a nice job on my oriental rug. It cleaned so well that the wonderful colors in my rug have come back. The machine seems well built but it is somewhat heavy to push and the water tank-in-tank is very small making it neccesary to dump and refill much too often. I find that I really should have done more research and shopped around more before making this expensive purchase. Live and learn..... Don't Bother This cleaner never did a good job. Didn't suck up hardly any water that it put out, the attachments are a laugh. Your better off buying the low end Dirt Devil. Bissell does make good vacuums though. NOT WHAT THEY SAY IT IS THIS WAS TOLD TO HAVE A ROLLING BEATER BRUSH. THE INSTRUCTIONS INSIDE THE BOX SHOW THE SAME THING.
THE ITEM HAS NOTHING. ONLY A PIECE OF PLASTIC THAT "BRUSHES" THE RUG AS IT IS MOVED BACK AND FORTH. ALL THIS ITEM DOES IS PUSH OUT WATER AND SUCK IT UP.
IT DEFINITELY SUCKS! AND AMAZON WON'T ALLOW A RETURN!!!!!!!!!
