Rowenta Compact Iron customer reviews: Good horizontal iron, but not vertical. The good: Lightweight, good for travel. The steam output when ironing horizontally is quite good and does a good job in ironing. The bad: The water tank tends to leak. This is especially if you stand it upright while, e.g. you are re-arranging your clothes on the ironing board. Also, the vertical steam is NOT at all effective for vertical ironing. Additionally, due to small size, one full-load of water can last for at most two shirts before requiring refill. Great travelling iron I bought this iron six years ago when I was a frosh in college. At the time it was the price that sold me, but today it is the compact size. It's a great iron for travel - far better then anything at a hotel. Rowenta compact steam iron My old travel iron finally died on me, and I have been looking at the Rowenta travel iron for some time. It actually works better that I expected it would. It gets very hot and gives has a nice steam action. I really like it and would buy the same again when I wear this one out. Great item! I bought this item for my Mom who is an excellant quilter. She saw someone in her class with this iron and they loved it. So, I got it for her for her 80th birthday. She loves it. Very convenient and very good iron. Great little iron! I bought this iron to replace a travel iron I lost this year. It works great, lots of steam , heats up quickly. Does the job like a full size iron. I'm glad I spent the few extra dollars.
