Polder 90505-05H Cordminder Description This Iron Cord Minder Deluxe Clamp Foldable Cordminder for Ironing Board by Polder Home Tools is one of the best we have found. If you are constantly fighting with the iron cord, trying to keep it out of the way or you have dragged the iron cord through a freshly ironed a shirt then you need this cord minder. Eliminating cord tangles and keeping your cord from dragging through your ironed garment, this cordminder is an extra tall 20 inches high, has a heavy duty chromed metal clamp, tightens with an easy-to-turn, threaded nylon bushing and folds flat against the board when not in use. The clamp is a generous 2 inches so the minder will fit on virtually any ironing board. The bottom spring gives the minder the flexibility it needs to move easily with your iron. Both the bottom, at the clamp, and the tip have nylon holders designed for threading your irons cord and keeping the it safely out of the way. With a simple click, you rotate the minder counter clockwise so it folds neatly at the side of your board. When setting up to iron you continue to rotate it counter-clockwise back into upright position. An older, different version of this finally fell apart, and I found it impossible to replace in any land-based store -- probably because people don't iron much anymore except when sewing. Although it takes a minute to set up, it is well worth it to be able to keep the cord out of the way of the iron. Better than others on market Abolute must to keep your iron cord out of your way. I had one of these for many years from Polder and broke it. Purchased another brand that turned out to be junk. Found this product again and once again I am happy!! Works great! After getting frustrated with the iron cord getting in the way, I AM NOW STRESS FREE! Owned for 3 yrs still perfect cord minder This simple little gadget works so well for so little money. Saves me much frustration. Purchased in Dec. 2004 and still works like new! Didn't Mind my Iron Cord! I had great hopes for this iron cord minder since it had all positive reviews, but alas, it wasn't to be so. I do a LOT of sewing and have a heavy duty iron with a thick appliance cord that would not go through the very narrow cordminder opening for the cord. I mean, not even close! And then the weight of my iron cord weighted down the entire cordminder so it bent backwards. This is a lightweight meant for the typical household iron.
