Stopped working almost immediately This whole Koolatron purchase was the worst thing I made on Amazon. Stay clear of it. remarkable... it takes the magical energy in my wall and runs my cooler every time I plug it in. Adapter great for on the road The adapter made it possible to take the cooler along with its contents into our motel room every night, saving money on breakfasts and lunches while keeping things safe and cool. 12 volts from "the wall" This adapter plugs into the wall and turns out 12volts just like your in-car plugs. It is effective and looks reliable (I haven't had it long enough to rate lifetime). It does get pretty hot, so you need to be careful not to let the cords sit on top of the adapter while in use
