Taylor Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer customer reviews:
|
Close enough for most purposes At the price, it's as good as you're going to do.
accurate I bought this at a hardware store then read the reviews. I paid 19.99 when amazon is selling it for 9.99. So the price is great! As long as the wired cable that goes outside is in the shade, I get the exact outdoor temperature as the weather station in our town that is recorded on my computer. If the sun hits the cable wire, it is not accurate. I was told that you are not suppose to be a thermometer in the direct sun. I like it and I plan to buy another one at this price and put it upstairs in the bedroom. I also love the idea to know what the indoor temps is at the time as well. The numbers are big and easy to read. Takes 2 AA batteries.
Great adquisition Hi, this is a gret thermometer. It has a very long cable for outdoor temp. It is quite simple to use and understand. It could change the display to Celcius degrees.
Liked it, so I just bought another one Works like a charm, unlike the wireless one which I finally gave up on.
One thing is missing: a bracket to hold the sensor away from the side of your house or whatever. The picture on this page shows a little wire bracket, but that did not come with mine.
The instructions say to reset the high/low temperatures, you need to remove the batteries! I don't care about that, but if you do, I would not recommend this unit.
Missing Min/Max Reset Capability Sure, it measures temperature accurately, as well as recording min and max values since reset. The problem is, there isn't a way to reset the min/max values without, as the manual says: "simply remove the batteries".
Huh? It has buttons...use them...the previous Taylor I had (in the same price range) reset via button.
