The knives really hold an edge and have perfect balance. I know my step father really likes the feel and shape of the handle also. When my step fathers knives where stolen there was no question as to which knives we would replace them with. A set like this is really nice because these are the two most used knives for chefs and cooks, it really saves on the wallet when you can get both cheaper then they are singly.
