I am very happy with this purchase! Black Fan Very sturdy heavy construction but this fan is not all that quiet. It gives a lot of air though. I just find it big, bulky and kind of sounds like a distant airplane. I have another chrome fan not of this brand that I enjoy more and have actually seen it in movies. This black/chrome art deco fan is going to my son and I'll use the better one for my living room. It's also a bit pricey. 5 stars for what it really is This fan gets 5 stars for styling. It's beautiful! It is also a very nice fan. Due to it's blade size though, when you are running this on high, you are going to get some wind noise from the blades because they are running at a very high speed. Oscillation is smooth with no jumpy spots. For the money, you could by 5 fans that do exactly what this one does, but not with this styling.
