I had to open up the clock and manually move the hands with my fingers. Defeats the purpose of being a radio clock. out door clock my parents enjoy the size because it is easy to see from the pool. I don't know how accurate the hygrometer is. David Disappointed in OK It was hours before the thermometer dial adjusted ten degrees, and then the temperature remained inaccurate. The unprotected backing exposes the cardboard face to the elements. I sent it back for a refund. Buy it for Beauty My boss wanted this clock for his office. It is beautiful and he was very happy with it. As far as the hygrometer's accuracy, I cannot comment. The clock is inside in the office. Makes a very nice show. Would buy from this company again.
