Buy It!
This is my first canister type vacuum cleaner and I'm completely impressed. The vacuum cleaners that I've owned in the past had less suction power and were much louder. This one purrs at the slide of the handle and has great suction power for fine animal hair. The retractable cord is convenient and the slide on the handle for the suction control is great as well.
The only thing that I can think of that might be off is that it's advertised as lightweight and I really didn't feel that it was but to be fair this is my first canister vacuum cleaner so I really have no comparison to go by. I ordered this mainly so that I can vacuum the stair cases because my old vacuum cleaner doesn't have any attachments. This vacuum cleaner comes with an abundance of attachments and so far my favorite one is the turbo floor attachment. I also was pleased that I was able to get a vacuum that has the HEPA filter. The dust cup is easy to empty and holds a decent amount of dust.
Overall, I rate this vacuum cleaner five stars because it exceeded my expectations for the price that I paid.

I purchased this vacuum when we moved to a new house..I had a central vac in my old house, and thought I would really miss it..however, I bought this Dirt Devil 082700..I couldn't be happier! It is so easy to use, great suction, and lightweight. Pulls easily with the large wheels, and stores in a very small space..automatic cord rewind...just couldn't ask for more!

Dirt Devil Canister Vac
I'm very happy with my Dirt Devil! I have wood floors, carpeted floors, rugs and stairs in my home - all of which are easily cleaned with my Dirt Devil Canister Vac. No more lugging the upright around and fighting to keep the rugs from getting damaged by the upright. I get the stairs cleaned up in a hurry now and getting the dog hair up from the wood floors is a breeze. This canister vac is great anywhere in the house! Get the webs in the corners, freshen up the drapes, give the couch and chairs a good once over you name it! Adjustable power at the handle, big wheels and no bags all go in to making this cleaner the perfect choice for most anyone.
Great Vacuum!
I am very pleased with the Dirt Devil Vision. I have hardwood floors in my apartment and two cats, and this vacuum gets rid of cat hair very well without scratching the floor. It is easy to handle and I like the convenience of the canister style, as it reaches under beds and dressers, and the attachments are great for rugs and upholstery. There were no surprises when I got the product, as it is accurately described online. The suction is good, however if you intend to use this for carpet and not hardwood floors, you might be disappointed as the suction is great for bare floors, but not as good for carpets.
Overall, this is a great vacuum and I recommend it highly.
A good vacuum
I haven't used more than half a dozen vacuums, but this is definitely the best one of that bunch. It seems quite capable and has a number of what I consider to be nice features: a continuously variable power setting, relatively light weight, a convenient bagless design that is easy to empty, and a versatile, extendable arm with multiple attachments.
