A good juicer... This is my first juicer - I did not wish to spend several hundred dollars on a juicer until I tried the juicing concept out....I have not been disappointed with this product. This juicer extracts good amounts of juice and is easy to clean...I do seem to get a lot of pulp leftovers, but, I use this in soups and cereals to good advantage...even my dog benefits :) It is a quiet machine and I have had zero problems with it. The juice is very tasty and filling. I have found that juicing is really the doorway to a new and healthier lifestyle. It may be that in the future I may invest in a fancier/higher priced unit, but, I see nothing wrong with this one for now...it is an attractive machine of good quality. If you are just starting out with juicing, I don't see how you can go wrong with this product. going strong for 2 years An excellent juicer after 2 years of everyday use. Easy to clean, and unnecessary to put in dishwasher, as a rinse under a faucet is all it needs. The screen needs a quick scrub with a vegetable brush under running water.
I find that if I don't want to clean it right away, pouring plain water (slowly) through the feeding tube once in a while throughout the day keeps it from drying up inside and being harder to clean. Do this with juicer running.
You can't go wrong with this one, and I like it better than the Juiceman I used to have. For soft and leafy vegetables and wheatgrass, look into the Lexen Healthy Juicer--a masticating type. For hard fruits and vegetables, Jack's is less work. Fruit juicer This was on my daughter's wish list. I had bought one from
tv for myself. I bought her this one.....it came with alot more things than mine....she loves it. She lives in California and has all the luscious fresh fruits to use. This is a good deal! works great !! I've used an Acme Juicerator since 1975, for the design the cleaning was labor intensive.
I bought this Jack LaLanne Juicer, and am very pleased with the easiness to clean and juicing well done. I bought an additional juicer for my girlfriend, as well. We also purchased the juicing book by Elaine LaLanne, and have been enjoying the many recipes. She uses some interesting combinations of fruits and vegetables, which are surprisingly delicious. I would recommend this juicer to anyone. this juicer is a joke I just used this juicer for 1 hour before i decided it was a joke. Any body who said clean up is a breeze was either from the company who sells this or did not know what they were talking about. This product is a nightmare to clean-up. you have to disassemble it and wash 6 components. I just used it once with carrots and it stained permanently, could not get the stains out. also the pulp from the carrots was still wet, could still see juice running when i pinch the pulp.The tv infomercial was a real setup. I had lots of pulp and maybe 7 ounces of carrot juice from, from more that a pound of carrots. I think i will just use a blender and get all the fiber form my fruits and vegetables. This product is ill conceived. i think it should be a crime to present this product the way they did, it is absolutely misrepresented. It took me at least 35 minute to dissassemble and clean up the unit. I would give this product as a gift to people i hate. please do your self a favor, stay away from this nightmare!!!I am returning this product today. I dont care how much money I loose on their shipping charge to me and the shipping charge that i have to pay to send it back. I just cant see myself using this and spending 35 minutes to clean up for very little juice.
