Wonderful machine! Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5
I bought this yogurt maker two months ago and after many tries finally found the right way to make it firm and creamy. I use the culture from the plain yogurt from the supermarket. But I make it with some no-fat products. It is not sour taste and I am very please. I also sometime tried with a regular glass bowl that fits neatly instead of the small jars. I do need to use the maker at least 12 hours, but it work fine and am not going back to the market store anymore.

I don't really like yogurt, but eat it for my health. I found that I did like, better, the yogurt I had in Italy and decided that maybe homemade yogurt was the way to go. This machine was reasonably priced, worked just as promised, and was delivered in a timely fashion. It would be helpful if it counted down the time, but if you start it before bed, as I do, I guess it doesn't matter. It is always finished when I get up. One benefit of it not counting down the time is that I don't have to remember how long to set it for. It is always set at the right time. The yogurt had good texture and was pretty good, which for me is an excellent compliment. One drawback is the lids for the jars. I like the glass jars, but the plastic lids leak. This makes them inconvenient to carry in a lunchbox.

Those are great! Very useful and neat! Fit very well in my yogurt maker as extra jars. The caps don't snap, but screw - even better! Great buy!

Tough and just the right size Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5
I bought these jars as extras, so I could make a batch of yogurt without having to waiting until all of my other jars were emptied. These little jars are glass but they aren't fragile. If you are making real yogurt, they hold just the correct amount.

Awsome yogurt maker -- dishwasher safe jars. Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5
I had previously experimented with other yogurt makers. They all had drawbacks -- hard to clean, no automatic shutoff timer, complicated instructions, awkward shapes.

I am more than happy with this yogurt maker. It takes up about the same cabinet space as a crock pot. It makes convenient batches of 1.25L. It makes yogurt in individual jars so re-culturing with the last jar is made easier. The jars are very sturdy (you'll think they're from the 50s) and dishwasher safe.

Cons: Jars could be slightly larger (though they really help with portioning). Batches of yogurt use slightly less than half a gallon of milk, leaving just over a cup remaining.

Neutral: Buy extra jars so you can have a batch going as soon as you near the end of your last batch.
