Dirt Devil Vibe Quick Vac - M084500V customer reviews: not my first pick This vacuum was a good price and it has great suction in a way. It seems to suck up things on the carpet really well but then spits some of it out again. I don't think it vacuums big things up very well either or it's just spitting things out again. The hose hardly picks up anything and is basically useless. Last of all it's hard to push. It is light though and I like how long the cord is but that's about all I like about it. Just what I wanted! I agree with all the positive reviews here. I really like this vacuum. I don't think this inexpensive little vacuum is meant for carpets, personally. It works great on tile floors and the little mat at the door. The hose is easy to whip off to get to any little spot that the head of the cleaner can't get in to. It doesn't work like a $500 vacuum cleaner. Duh. But it is easy, efficient and effective. I LOVE seeing the dirt in the cup when I'm finished. I often will rinse the container out and let it air dry. Also, the hepa filter can be tapped on a solid surface to knock out lots of fine dirt. Which I'm guessing will extend its life? Anyway, I'm getting dirt out of it without hurting it. I like the idea from another reviewer of buying a second one to have when this one dies. IF they still make this in the future, it surely will cost more. And right now, it's a deal! (Maybe I'd better buy a few extra filters too.) Good vac...but didn't work for me For the price this is a great little vac and I was impressed. I bought it to supplement my Dyson,which I do love for my carpets, but I wanted something I could keep on the main floor for quick vacs as I have all wood,tile and scatter rugs on that level. I own 7 furry critters and 3 birds that throw seed everywhere so quick vacs are needed. I was thrilled with how it vac'd my scatter rugs (by doors, sink, etc) because I have such a time with the Dyson. The Dyson suction is so strong it pulls the rug in when you vac...and that was a pain (though I learned a trick on how to do it). But this vac worked very well overall for my needs. But, I had two things that became issues. One. There is no extension wand for the vac, just the crevice tool which is about 8 inches?...maybe. So if you are someone who has bending issues and a lot of things you use the hose for (animal hair under couches or bird seed everywhere)...you won't like this vac. If you can't get down on your knees or have back issues, there's no extension wand to make your reach longer, with less bending. Weight wise...it's great but without the extension wand...getting into corners requires squatting and/or bending. Great exercise!, but if you're limited in movement with squatting or bending or kneeling...you might want to consider another vac. Two. I could have lived with this...but just to mention...it blows (pet) hair dust balls away from you but in a swipe or two it gets it back :). This factor alone would not have been the reason I returned this vac, but it was a bit of a pain. For someone else these may be non-issues and then...consider this a five star vac for the price. It's light, good suction. You can't ask for more. But for me, I realized that day after day it just wasn't going to work for my needs. Belt burned and torn on first try Was happy to get this from Target today. Assembly was easy and the dirt bin is good design. However, upon first try later in the evening, it started to smell like burned rubber after a couple minutes. The unit was then turned off and upon a check inside, the belt was torn apart with burned rubber remains. Needless to say I'm so disappointed and will bring this back to Target first thing tomorrow. Do not waste your money on this! I worked well for the first couple of times, but after a month, it started to blow dirt out. It can hardly pick anything from the carpet. I recommend this to no one.
