Rowenta DZ5065 Focus Stainless-Steel 1700-Watt Iron, Pink Description
|
Rowenta has teamed with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and created the "Pink Iron". Rowenta will donate 100% of the proceeds to Breast Cancer Research Foundation. A completely new construction technique provides the Rowenta Microsteam soleplate with the best ever steam and heat distribution for the most effective ironing. More than 400 microsteam holes ensure even and optimal steam distribution from tip of the soleplate to the rounded rear for fast, expert results with ease. The high quality stainless steel soleplate is attached to the heavy aluminum core in a unique way that provides an ultra smooth surface with a thin edge that can iron up to buttons, seams and delicate fabrics without snagging. Maintaining the correct temperature is key to good ironing performance and garment care. The DZ5080 has an electronic temperature control that combines sensitive electronic sensors and controls with LED lights in an easy-to use-system. The Steam Advance system is the key to easier ironing. Delicate steam is used for delicate fabrics that require gentle care. This is a high-pressure steam for thicker fabrics and tough wrinkles. Steam is created under pressure ensures a deep penetration into the fabric to relax the fibers and let wrinkles be pressed out in ease. An automatic pause between bursts of steam allows the heat of the iron to remove the remaining steam and set the press.

Rowenta DZ5065 Focus Stainless-Steel 1700-Watt Iron, Pink customer reviews:
|
Rowenta DZ5065 Focus I t irons well, but I would like to have more manual steam control and an on/off setting.
Good iron Good iron. Respected brand. Like the narrow tip for getting into those tight corners.
glide through ironing finding a good iron is no easy task.
through my student days I managed with a cheapo iron from target. After complaining to my mother about how it didnt really get the wrinkles out, she pointed out the finer points of a good iron - and this iron has them.
*It's wattage is high enough = heats well, quickly and evenly
*it has a big water container = dont have to fill up too often and this one has a filter integrated in it so you can use tapwater
* it has lots and lots of steam holes = the iron glides over the surface well and doesnt feel heavy
* I like this product because it is PINK. Also like it because it has a pointed tip that gets into all the corners and irons everything well.
* I also liked the price! I looked around a lot before purchasing and this really was the best bang for your buck.
I heard some reviews about the iron dripping etc. So far I havent witnessed that at all. The trick might be to start with cooler settings for delicates and then move on to hotter temps for cottons and linens.
This iron was a lemon! I had heard that Rowenta was a great brand of iron to buy so I splurged and spent more than I have ever spent on an iron, thinking that I was getting a really good product. WRONG! The heating element burned out one year to the date of purchase. Luckily, it was still covered under the warranty so they repaired it. But one year from the time of the repair (only 2 years from purchase), the iron suddenly went hot, burned through a new shirt and started on fire. I only used this iron once or twice a week, so it's not like it was used excessively. I will never buy a Rowenta again. They are over priced and my experience is that they are no better than lower priced brands.
Don't waste your money! This is the worst iron I have ever owned. I am a quilter and I have to use spray starch in order to get this thing to even press a seam properly on cotton and the temperature is set on high! If you have a cotton article of clothing that is just ever so slightly wrinkled..forget about it. Don't waste your money. I happened to mention to 2 other quilters about my Rowenta and they said they had them in the past and they were not happy with them at all and would never own one again. I just bought a Panasonic cordless and I love it!! Good bye Rowenta forever!! If I could, I would give this no stars!
