Good but then... Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5
Impressed when I first used it. But the first problem was replacing the motor belt-the burn out very fast if you hit a sock or rug fringe. The only place I could get the belts was from the company's website at the cost of $15 for one! I mean they cost 10cents right? I've gone through five belts in ten months.
When the vac clogs it is really difficult to remove. We are talking two hours if the clog is in the wrong place. Finally, after five hours of trying to remove a clog from deep inside the head I gave up-against recommendations I used coat hangers, but its so awkward to get at and remove clogs theres no alternative. I tried Shark customer service and warranty but to return the vac and be without one for several weeks is not possible.
When it worked it worked well BUT it is messy to empty and needs emptying every few minutes. The tools are not much use and the extendable wand bit broke early on. It cost $200-plus $60 in replacement belts and I regret ever buying it. It was messy when it worked, troublesome when it clogged and the belts broke. My advice is, if you want this type of vac-cyclone, bagless then get the Dysons. It is more money now but the get what you pay for. The Shark Infinity is a cheaper, inferior version!

Engineering Mess Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5
Right now, you're thinking about this vacuum as a cheeper replacement for a Dyson. You're thinking that you want a bagless, but are balking at the $400+ for a good one, and you hope this machine will do...

    Don't.

    No, really, don't do it.

If you do, you wil find yourself spending half as much time unclogging as you do vacuuming. You will have a stretched-out piece of wire hanger that you keep next to the vacuum... all because some bonehead engineer decided to make the two tightest bends of hose impossible to separate. You will become expert at guaging the raising whine of a clogging pipe, hoping that you catch in in the first 45 seconds, before the motor overheat trips, and you need to let the machine cool, unplugged, for at least a half hour.

When you've run out of wire hangers, you'll find yourself cursing (even if you usually don't), as you cut up pieces of electric fencing, twisting the pieces together with your MacGuyvver-like ingenuity to create your wire hose ram.

Or maybe not -- maybe by then you'll have thrown the damn thing out a window, and repeatedly run it over with your mini-van.

    So don't do it.

And if you do, remember that I realy did try to warn you, when the police come to take you mini-van keys.

This sucks! Do Not Buy! Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5
This is the only review I have ever written, but this vacuum has been so horrible I just has to give my opinion. 1- The suction is not great, and when you run the vacuum in bare floors mode it doesn't pick up anything. 2- The extension cord for the attachments ("designed by NASA") is so stiff, when you use the attachments the vacuum is constantly falling over onto tables, my foot, ect. and you must drag the machine around with you to keep one hand on it at all times. 3- It is hard to clean. You have several parts that must be washed out and left to dry completely, even using a hair dryer it takes a couple days and it never dries in the nooks. 4- Emptying the container is a huge mess. The dust does not come out easily and so must be knocked out in the garbage which sends dust flying everywhere. It MUST be done outside. I get a lung full of dust every time. Actually, last month a wind kicked up just as I was emptying it out and I inhaled so much dust I got a bronchial infection and needed to go on antibiotics! 5- The plastic is cheap. The plastic latch at the bottom of the dust canister broke off today, and spilled dirt all over my living room. It went everywhere! I have FINALLY thrown the thing in the garbage. What a waste! My two cents.

Telescopic Wand broke within 6 months- buy something else! Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5
This vacuum performed well for the first 6 months, when the height adjustment to the telescopic wand broke.
So the handle extends and contracts as you vacuum. I called the manufacturer and they said this was not covered under the warranty. I have been waiting for a month now for the replacement part, and received notice today that it will be another 3-4 weeks before it comes. Ugh! Buy something else. Poor customer service and warranty!

Terrible vacuum Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5
This is the worst vacuum I have ever owned. It is so time consuming with the filters clogging up so fast and then having to clean them several times before it over heats and shuts off. You can't vacuum half the living room without it shutting off and that's with clean filters. This vacuum is junk! My 20 year old Eureka canister is better than this vacuum. I just replaced this Shark with a Dirt Devil Breeze and the Dirt Devil is far superior in suction. The Dirt Devil picked up an unbelievable amount more dirt and dog hair than the Shark did when it was new. The Shark was a complete waste of money.
