I went from drinking a quart of gin a day at OTB to staying home and waiting for the light to go on in my living room. I am utterly facsinated by this product and will buy 30 more when I get out of debt!!!!!!!! Needs more description I mostly bought this as an experiment. But I bought this particular model specifically because the description didn't say that it was for incandescents only--which the package does say. I tried a compact fluorescent in it, and it flickered terribly in low light. A few other details (that didn't matter to me, but might to some): -You can use 150W max only if the fixture is upright or sideways. If it points downward, it's 100W max. -If the fixture is enclosed, you can't go above 60W. -The light comes on dimly in low light, then brightens as the surrounding area gets dark. Just OK, using on porch These are "just OK", the light is not full power when in use and seems dimmer than normal. Probably would spend more money next time for a better quality product.
