Great Addition to our Patio I am not sure if the below reviewers got a bum product but we've had ours for just over a year now and it has worked like a charm. It does produce enough heat to warm a good portion of our deck while entertaining or barbequing. I love the look of the copper with our home decor and I receive numerous compliments on it each time we entertain.
The way it was shipped at about half the size makes it easy to receive and store if need be. We also liked this version much better then the patio heater that just burns the top of your head.
Overall a good product for a great price! Do NOT buy this patio heater It looks great but is a worthless piece of junk. Right out of the box I noticed that the top of inner cylinder was bent, no problem I thought. We hooked everything up and was never able to get it to light using the built in lighter. We've always used a BBQ lighter You can only feel the heat from this thing if you are within 2 feet of it. Of course your face burns but your feet freeze. All this happened last year. This year it doesn't work. According to Bernzomatic, it is a bad Thermo-coupler. They recommend taking it to a gas supplies place and have it fixed. Total garbage, don't buy this piece of junk. If the place I purchased it from will not take it back, I will dump it in their parking lot after they close. I don't want to go through the hassle of taking to the landfill. Maybe I can smash it with a sledge hammer and put the pieces in my garbage can over the course of the next few weeks... Awesome! I bought this item because I was in Las Vegas and they use them at the taxi stands and it was wonderful. I bought it for my deck to use in the colder weather while outside with the kids and while entertaining, the smokers can be outside and not freeze. It truly heats the size area it states and does not take long to reach maximum heat. don't buy this item I purchased this item for my patio. I had to return 2 of them due to being damaged in shipping. The one I kept was still damaged but not as bad. I began to burn this item and was annoyed by the smell that this gives off. Its a burning plastic smell. Now, the black tower coating is flaking off. Please save your money and look elsewhere... bad product I agree with the other reviewers who have been disappointed with this product. The heater gives off a very sharp burning plastic smell, even after repeated usage. It does not provide much heat if there is any wind at all. Look elsewhere.
