Horrible Vacuum I bought this vacuum at Walmart for $99. Good deal, I thought, as it claimes to have 50% better suction than Bissel and Hoover. I used it once and this was my experience:
-It smelled very bad, like an old dirty house.
-It did suction up most stuff on the ground (although it didn't seem to suction as well going backwards as forwards). However, it spit stuff out at me from the back. I was barefoot so I could feel it shooting little pieces at my foot, and it also just left a trail of very fine dust and grit behind it. I used it in one room that was perfectly clean already, just to test it, and it left tons of dirt behind it. The room was worse than it started out.
The vacuum might be ok for someone who does not walk around barefoot, as it does appear to suck up dust. If you wear shoes or socks, you might not notice the grit it leaves on the floor, as it is in very fine little pieces. But if you walk around barefoot and like to have the floor smooth, this is not for you.
I plan to return it as soon as possible. Completely ineffective for our family. Pets, kids, bare floor, carpet. This doesn't cut it at all.
1. Kicks out dirt and dust through back (felt it on my feet, and wondered why the floor still had junk on it).
2. Weak suction, especially through tool attachments.
3. "Power brush" will only spin if there's no pressure!
This one goes back into the box. My old "broken" one performs better. Dirt Devil D1 I also purchased this Vacuum at walmart for $99. Sounded like a good deal and I needed a new vacuum.

Easy to empty canister.
Cons
Bulky, heavy (although a healthy adult should have no problems), the power brush doesn't work if you use too much pressure, the filter is spendy to replace, lost suction after about a month of use. Sucking power is horrible and it doesn't pick up hardly anything.
Keep in mind I have been using this vacuum for a year now. I have two big dogs, a black lab and a shar pei, and they shed, although not a lot but they do. I also have two small kids. We have a lot of messes, with kids in and out, dogs in and out, my husband works in construction. I wouldn't recommend this vacuum to anyone with kids, or pets. Maybe for a single person or couple with very low traffic in their house.
Do not buy! I agree with the over reviewers...if you have kids or animals, do not buy. The hose clogs easily due to a bad design. The power brush is a joke, it won't spin if you apply minimal pressure..what's the point! I've had this vacuum over a year, and it is by far the worst vacuum I have ever owned. Horrible vacuum!!!!! Don't waste your money!!! This vacuum is JUNK!!! I have 2 labs, cat, and 2 kids and I almost sweep everyday. At first it worked ok, but the longer I had it the more I noticed how it really didn't have good suction. Like the other reviewers wrote I too noticed how it spit out dirt from the back and would hit me on the legs. Thought that was disgusting. I kept up with the filter and made sure it was clean and even that didn't really help. We've had this for over a year and now the motor blew. Just a really junky vacuum. Don't waste your money with this one, it's not worth it.
