Offers safety tips as well. Short (about 45 min.) and sweet. excellent DVD This is an excellent product to show you the correct way to use kitchen knives. Safety is stressed. Good information, bad video quality This video was made for the VCR days and the quality of the video shows. There are points where the image is distorted with ugly green bars. I expected better video quality than this, on DVD. The content itself, though, has great information and I'm already enjoying using my Twin Cuisine set in a hopefully safer manner. So, 1 star for the quality, 5 star for the information... averages out to 3 stars. you'll really learn how to use your knives by watching this If you want to learn how to grip a knife, slice, dice, debone, and care for your knives then this video is for you. All of these techniques and more are very clearly illustrated and explained. Since knife use is such an essential part of good cooking this video is certainly well worth its small price. Save your money and time - go to YouTube This is a painful DVD to watch. It will be of little help to you if you've already got basic knife skills down. If you haven't learned basic knife skills just do a bit of searching on YouTube, you can get all of the same information but without the sales pitch. If you've got an hour to kill learning what could be taught in 5 minutes and don't mind having someone pushing the usefulness of a bunch of useless knives then this is the DVD for you.
