Economy, Quality, Style:
This isn't expensive, not even when you add shipping cost, you get your money's worth. This is a brand name (Holmes), sturdy all metal fan perfectly sized for an end table or on top of a bookshelf. This is _not_ one of those cheap, little plastic things that you have to place in front of you to feel the air. It's an all metal replica of fans I remember from the 1940's. It's whisper quiet--in other words all you hear is the delicious sound of air, not a motor noise to drive you further crazy on a hot summer day. The grill is stainless steel and unclips easily to clean--and clean the fan blades as well! I chose the charcoal color, but I understand it's also available in a dark cobalt blue, bronze and a shade of Army green I remember so well from the 1940's. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase and so I intend to purchase the matching floor fan Holmes offers as well.
