I am a big wine drinker and this has worked for every bottle I have used it on. And the battery works for so long - I am thrilled with the purchase, and the price could not be beat! Hate it! Clogged up by a piece of cork Unfortunately, this little gizmo clogged up the first time we used it. We were opening a number of bottles of wine at a little get together when it just stopped working. The screw would go down, then stop. Thanks for our trustly old screwpull, which came to the rescue. After our friends left, I took a good hard look at the thing and there is a piece of cork way up inside the chamber. I let it sit on the counter for a couple of weeks, hoping that perhaps the cork would dry out and I could shake it loose. Nope. Back to the screwpull for me. Fantastic wine opener I open literally hundreds of bottles of wine as the person who supports wine parties in several non-profit support organizations. I've gone through many types of wine openers in the past 5 years. This is the greatest! How come it took so long to get on the market?
