I gave it five because it is made well. The price, however, is bordering upon obscene. It's charcoal, for crying out loud... and it's priced like saffron. Great Bargain You probably paid extra for the cuisinart coffee maker because you like good coffee. This little charcoal filter is part of what makes it so good. I found them hard to find locally and saw some online for outrageous prices. You have to have these, so why pay more. Just as listed. The Cuisinart filters for my coffeemaker was brand new as listed. Speedy delivery also. Received just in time Received just when old filter needed changing. Thanks. Works great. A++++. Will buy from you again Water filters *do* make a difference I left my water filters unchanged for toooooo long (over a year). I can definitely taste the difference and am putting a reminder on my calendar to change the filter regularly. They're not cheap I guess, but if you use good coffee, why would you want it to taste like something ground you buy in a can? And if you use ground coffee from a can (some of which I like so I'm not slamming it), why wouldn't you want it to taste as good as possible?
