Portable Folding Hibachi Charcoal Grill customer reviews:

Dont make them like they used to I have searched for one of these for over 25 years and was excited to find this. Sunday I received it (had to ship to Niagara Falls NY and cross over from Canada to pick up since the supplier won't ship to Canada). It is very much like the one that I used to have except that the body is now very heavy gauge stamped steel instead of a casting. I thought that the grills were much the same as on my old one but more on that below. There is a knack to getting it lit that will take some experimentation, but overall it all works as advertised.
My only serious complaint is that one of the bars of one of the two grills is cracked through after the first heating cycle. Whether it was already cracked or cracked when heated I don't know. If it doesn't crack elsewhere it will be OK.
Not living in the US I was reluctant to go throught the time and expense to return it, and thought that getting a replacement sent through the NFNY intermediary is not worth it for a $18 grill.
HOWEVER: one email to Aubuchon Hardware and a new one is on its way. Because of my circumstances they advised that I could just keep the first one. That is service above and beyond my expectations. I do believe the problem was a fluke, castings can contain undetected flaws.
All in all, I would say this is by far the best portable hibachi you can get, certainly for the money. Tidy, sturdy, compact and portable. Oh and it throws out a lot of heat (once it gets going, like all charcoal).
