Good design. Fits grill well. We have had very high winds lately and no problems at all.

I've had this grill for about a month and a half now and have used it quite a bit. Everything works like it should and I'm very happy with it. Of course, I've had to adjust the way I cook things. This grill's interior temperature gets very hot (550+F without searer, 700+ F with searer) using high on the controls; so I've learned to turn things down while cooking. The rotissary works really well and the infarred burner provided even cooking. Indirect cooking is really good as you preheat four burners, then turn off the two center burners. Havng both outer burners on eliminated worrying about wind/draft flow. The smoker box with it's own designated burner allows you to control how much wood smoke you want. Note that smaller pieces of wood burn within approx 15 mins. If you're smoking longer, larger pieces are recommended. Just make sure you can still close the lid to the smoker box. The side burner is large and strong enough to hold larger pans and pots. Had no problem bringing larger pots of water to a full boil. Only once did a stronger breeze blow out the burner when the burner was on low.

The Weber 7554 Premium Cover is designed for this series. It fits like it should and is very easy to take off and put on. The mesh air vents are located over the side burner and side shelf. It allows sufficient air flow to allow moisture to escape from under the cover. Naturally, having vents allows rain to get in, but it drains right off and doesn't become standing water on any parts. Weber states that most grills can rust/corrode is a nonvented cover is used. In fact, there is some opinion that a cover shouldn't be used. Personally, I like the fact that the cover keeps the unit clean from tree, bug and bird droppings.

As I mentioned above, I'm very happy with my producta from Weber. It is truely unbelievable the difference in quality from other brands.

Cover is good, full size and completely covers the grill to protect it from the weather. However why they would put mesh openings right over the ends of the grill is a dumb design flaw. It leaves the side shelves of the grill completely open to rain.

Perfect fit for Summit e-450 Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5
The side straps make this a perfect, secure fit for my grill. I don't think Weber would overlook the venting question, so if they designed it this way, that's the way it should be. The only parts that would appear to be vulnerable would be the rotisserie motor, and Weber recommends removing the motor when not in use, anyway. Otherwise, the fit and finish of the grill should prevent any water penetration to parts subject to corrosion and the vents should prevent moisture build-up or internal condensation, which would be much more likely to cause problems.

I was a bit shocked to see vents on top of the 7554 cover. Seem like a stupid idea. I called Weber and their answer was, "water will not harm the grill". Probably true but it does make a mess. Not being able to find a good solution aside from covering the cover with another cover which is also a stupid idea,I covered the vents. Duct tape came first but it didn't work. Finding an adhesive that sticks to both nylon and plastic was a bit difficult. But my final solution, and it worked, was to cut a thin piece of plastic, (I used a garbage bag), cut to just a bit bigger than the vent and using a silicone adhesive,(I used a produt called DEVON adhesive), I put a bead of adhesive around the vent and stuck the plastic to it using a small stiff bush to smooth it all out and seal the edges. It doesn't look very factory made but it keeps the water out. My next project might be to cut a vent in back of the cover and glue in a screen from the inside.Weber 7554 Premium Cover
