Quiet, easy to clean
I have owned this humidifier for over two months and I would have given it five stars, but the hygrometer went out on it after a few days of use. I would have sent it back, but I needed a humidifier BAD. This unit humidifies my entire home (1100 SQ FT). It is quiet, but sometimes glugs when it takes on more water. The boiling sort of sounds like an alka-seltzer fizzing, and the fan is not annoying either. I use distilled water so I don't have to clean so often. About once a month I clean the heating unit which is very easy. I let it soak in CLR and then the calcium build-up chips away.

I have found the noise level from the fan to be very loud. There is nothing quiet about this product. I have been very disappointed in this humidifier. The controls are easy to read and use, filling the tank is easy with the large opening. But, you cannot use this humidifier in a bedroom. The digital display lights the entire room at night and the fan motor sounds like a freight train. So I would not recommend this product based on the amount of light it produces and the noise factor.
