Great for beginner chefs!
This is a great way to get kids started with a love of the kitchen and an appreciation of things made at home. The knives are real and they are sharp. The only ding I can give is that the glove is a bit big for a typical 8-year-old's hand. Other than that, it's a wonderful set.
Great for enthusiastic kids!
My eight-year-old loves to help in the kitchen and wants to do it all - especially cutting and chopping. The knives in this set are the right size for his hand and sharp enough to get the job done. The glove is a great idea, and helps me relax a bit as I supervise him. The glove takes _forever_ to dry after washing, which is why I did not rate this five stars. Overall, though, this is a great set to bridge the gap between little kids "helping" in the kitchen and big kids actually cooking.
