The Rainshow'r Crystal Ball Bath 3000 Filter - Chlorine Bath Filter for Tub customer reviews:

Okay But Time Consuming It's okay not really sure how well it does with the chlorine without testing the water. If you follow the instructions of "dragging" the ball in the water for 5-8 minutes it gets old after awhile.
If you want healthy skin in a dry climate....... As a chemist and applied mathematician in private practice for 25 years working with sufferers of environmental toxicity exposure, I work on the cutting edge of environmental chemistry and toxicology. Many revolutionary products are dismissed as quackery because of some people who use these products don't understand the theory behind the product so they don't appreciate or understand the product's use or benefit. This product delivers..the chlorine smell of our bath water in LA is dramatically reduced, our skin is no longer dry from chlorination of our bipolar lipid membranes of our skin cells and because of the unique quantum principles caused by phased arrayed crystals in the product, the water actually becomes slicker. It actually reduces electrostatic potential in the water which causes the water molecules to move in a less entropic fashion instead of random Brownian motion. The water molecules then no longer create the same density of polarized fat colloids in the water. Reduced electrostatic potential of the water means smaller fat colloids. Soap is fat and fat and water don't mix, fat is insoluble in water. Fat won't dissolve in water but you can reduce the colloid size of the fat just like lipoproteins in the blood stream keep cholesterol in a fatty suspension. Fat suspended in water forms colloids which then can leave "lumps" of fat on the skin. The water now has a detergent effect and reduces the fat colloid size and allows the soap to actually move in a more slippery fashion. This leaves a layer of consistent density lubricant on your skin instead of clumps of greasy fat. This aids in skin cleaning without causing dehyration because the water is actually trapped in the skin by the fat which helps keep your skin moist and smooth. Chlorine disrupts this process and allows your skin to dry out. Your skin has normal oil secretions that are broken down by soap in order to clean the skin surface and hair follicles out. The soap and shampoo now replace that oily layer after hydrating the skin which is the desired result. I have used products like this in the past because other than breathing and eating, the number one source of toxicological absorption is dermal contact and bathing and showering are the number one form of dermal contact you have that actually has a chemical effect on your skin. Living in dry LA it is essential to keep your skin moisturized. If you are a sick or poorly nutrified person, which many Americans are, nothing you can do on the outside can replace proper nutrition such as antioxidant and essential fatty acid intake that enhances skin cell metabolism , but this is definitely a product that should be a required hygiene strategy for maintaining health integrity in the toxic world we live in if you take baths. I have used dechlorinating shower heads for years with phenomenal results and this takes care of the bath equation. I highly recommend this product for anyone who has a chlorinated water supply and/or lives in a dry climate like the southwest US.
almost perfect it works!! that alone is worth it, the only downsides: it's time consuming and you can't put the bubble bath in the water until after the tub is full..but i love the fact that there is no more chlorine smell, no more itchy and dry skin, even without lotion
Too much work Chlorine smell in your water? Yep, this will take it out if you have 5-10 mins to swirl the ball around BEFORE getting in the water. But there also comes a time where I have to weight a products effectiveness against the work I have to do to make it happen. For $30 and a lot of lukewarm bath water, I can't justify wasting my time. I've decided to shower more, using a water filter of course. I'll save the bath ball for when I'm unhurried and have a lot of time to waste.
Does it work? Barely... and then I'm still not sure I'm just imagining it.
Ball Bath review For the most part, I enjoy this product very well. But, it has a bit of trouble staying together once I start swishing it around in the tub.
