The cutting edge design features a hinged door and a sliding drawer in the cooler's base. Simply place the bottle onto the drawer, affix the pump, and the bottle slides unseen into the base of the cooler. Like all of Primo's innovative coolers, this model features a stainless steel resorvior that keeps the hot water HOT and cold water COLD, as well as a child safety lock on the hot dispensing button. The combination of a high flow mechanism that cuts dispensing time in half and buttons on the top of the cooler eliminates the need to bend over while the dispenser fills your glass. In addition, this cooler contains an exclusive LED display with a programmable temperature control, a digital clock, and an indicator that lets you know when the bottle is near empty. Still Stupendous - Yet Temperamental
This is one of the best products I have ever purchased and I think that everyone who owns a top loader should automatically switch to this one. I love everything about it!
I have owned my cooler for about just over a month now. I love its ease of use. Up until about two weeks ago I had not troubles with it. Then I started getting problems with how sensitive it is to the size of the 5 gallon bottles. I experienced a problem with the tube not fitting properly on the bottle and the magnet on the door is not very strong. The problems others have with the water tasting like plastic I have not experienced and my water gets cold each time (even with 5 children always using it). I overcame my problem by putting a flat piece of styrofoam on top of it and adding a different magnet. I had no other problems since but will post if i do.
Does not work and tastes bad
This water cooler would not make cold water. We called customer service, and they had us taking the whole thing apart. It felt like they were reading from a different owners manual, telling us to remove things that were not there, or were in a different location. After 1/2 hour, the cooler still did not make cold water. Customer service said they would have a technician who puts these together, call us. We waited a week, and still NO CALL. Customer service is Primo, not Black and Decker, which I have heard here at amazon.com that they have horrible service.
The water tastes like synthetic tubing. It tastes aweful. We have taken this dispenser back. It tastes aweful and is not cold!
Great idea...BAD TASTE !!!!
Bought this model at local wholesale club. As other reviewer states this is made by Primo for Black and Decker. You can get it in with Black and Decker or Primo brand name printed on the front, however there is no difference in the cooler. First off setup is extremely easy and the cooler worked flawlessly. The pump which drives the water to upper reservoir is a little noisy but nothing that couldn't be overlooked for the elegant lines and hidden bottle features this cooler offers. However after initial hook-up and flushing of the system, we started to notice a plastic taste coming from the water. After 24 hours a 5 gallon bottle of water was allowed to slowly run through the system and it still tasted like plastic chemicals. This has been noted by another reviewer so please take warning. Needless to say the cooler is getting returned today. Will only purchase a water dispenser which has a stainless steel reservoir from now on.
Good water dispenser
I just bought this unit. I have to admit this unit is well built and works very nice. I hope that it will stay this way for long time. It does come with 2 years of limited warranty y the way. Great thing about this unit is water is very easily replaced since it is bottom loading and you could set your own water temperature for hot and cold. And yes, it does keep water hot and cold as how you have set this unit. Overall, it is worth the money I paid for. I would recommend this unit.
