Bosch Tassimo machine stopped working 
I purchased the new Bosch Tassimo Suprema TAS 4511UC, from an an authorized retail store and registered it online. The machine stopped working a few days later when a tdisc exploded in the machine. On 9/22/08, I called TassimoDirect, the machine's service agent. The service representative, Dennis, promised that a new replacement machine would be sent because the machine could not be fixed. The TassimoDirect Customer Service is terrible. I cannot tell you how many times I've called TassimoDirect since 9/22 to find out why I haven't been sent a replacement machine, as promised. I've spoken to Nathan, Jessica, Shauna, Andrea, etc. Today is 11/5 and I still have not been sent a replacement machine. Each time I call for service, all I'm given is excuses. I would definitely think twice before purchasing this machine. Today a Product Specialist at TassimoDirrect named Mona said she'd call me tomorrow to update me. Mona has already verified that no replacement was ever sent to me, but all I'm getting is phone calls to tell me that nobody knows why the machine has not been sent!!!!! Although I paid $139.95 for the new, "improved" model, it is not working nor do I have a replacement.
It's Christmas Every Morning
I cannot say enough good things about this product. I have a closets filled with all types of coffee makers. None of them could live up to my Starbucks, which was costing me $150.00 a month! This has got to be the easiest machine to use, and I refuse to read directions, but I had not one problem. It does wonderful hot chocolate, espresso, latte, chai tea, and I use it at least 4 times a day. I just don't understand why they don't advertise on television, it would certainly draw a larger market.It is easier than boiling a cup of water for instant coffee.
Now, as far as the taste goes, I am not an expert on coffee, but I do love good coffee, and this machine is a beauty! I can get up in the morning, and have my latte, my kids hot chocolate, and my husband's Chai Tea prepared in less than 5 minutes, and there is no mess![...]
Bad coffee, expensive discs and too much consumer waste
My husband and I loved our little Melita Pod Coffee maker. We could get a fresh brewed cup of coffee at anytime regardless of our ever changing schedules. When it finally gave out after 3 years we bought this Tassimo thinking it was a step up. The machine works great, it's the pods that are the problem. You can only use Tassimo discs (pods) in this machine. They are disposable plastic containers that should really be recycled and they are expensive in comparison. I tried to clean the coffee from the disc so it could be recycled, but it was messy and time consuming. The real deal breaker was the coffee it brewed. Everything we tried tasted like burnt plastic. We spent a lot of money trying each brand to see if it made a difference...but to no avail.
Bosch Tassimo is a new twist on a great idea
When my Braun Tassimo unit died after two years I knew I had to replace it because I really like the convenience and flavor Tassimo serves AND I had quite a few discs left to brew. The Bosch takes the product to a new level. While many of the features are the same, the differences show a good product evolution. It is smaller, much quieter and easier to clean. The water filter life indicator is a nice touch.
I was happy with the Braun unit but like this Bosch even more.
Great improvements
Don't get me wrong,I loved my older Braun. I was always a little frustrated, though, about having to lift off the water tank cover to refill the water tank. The Bosch has many refinements over the Braun, the most rewarding to me is the fill hole they put in the water tank cover. Just fill the tank up while the cover is still in place. Another great improvement is not having to sit and wait for the water to heat up after insertions of a new t-disk. Hit the button almost immediately after inserting the new disk. Finally, you can lift out the cup stand and insert a tall latte cup without having the overfill outlet pushing water everywhere. If you are a Tassimo fan, you will love the new machine.
